Hills Of Argyle

Six miles south of Denton, and at a point that marks the eastern edge of the famous Chisholm Trail, you will find the tree-covered Hills of Argyle. Started in 1881 when Texas and Pacific Rail Line was emerging along the southwestern edge of Denton County, Argyle remains an easily accessible choice from either Fort Worth or Dallas.

The Hills of Argyle is a 304-acre residential community that offers a wealth of beauty, the simplicity of country living, and the convenience of proximity to a major metropolitan area. This area of towering oak and hickory trees showcases new residential subdivisions under development. Many homes include acreage to provide more of a country estate lifestyle. Estate homes range from the $250 - $600’s on 1 to 3 acre lots. The Hills of Argyle offers 80+ acres of private parks, nature and equestrian trails, bike and walking paths. There is also a beautiful pond with a fountain, soccer field, and baseball diamond. The Hills of Argyle is directly adjacent to the Denton Country Club, which offers members a championship level golf course, four tennis courts, an Olympic size swimming pool, a child’s wading pool, and a 20,000 square foot clubhouse facility.

Although young, Argyle’s school system has been ranked as a four star school among the top public elementary schools in the state. While children attend Argyle schools from kindergarten through eighth grade, students may choose between Denton and Northwest ISD for secondary education.

Continued expansion has witnessed a new phase in the wastewater system, improved thoroughfares due to an earlier country bond election, a city pride task force that promotes community’s activities and a city hall government that sponsors quarterly town hall meetings.
